ACI Materials Announces Leadership Transition
Bruno Morel appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
Goleta, CA — [January 7, 2026] — ACI Materials today announced a strategic leadership transition designed to support the company’s next phase of growth and innovation. Effective immediately, Dana Hankey has transitioned from his role as Chief Executive Officer to Senior Executive Fellow and Board Member, while Bruno Morel has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.
In his new role, Hankey will remain actively engaged with the company, serving as Technical Advisor to the CEO and working onsite daily. This transition enables him to focus on advancing the technical innovation and materials science breakthroughs that have defined ACI’s success over the past 13 years.
“After more than a decade leading ACI Materials, this new direction in leadership allows me to concentrate on what I am most passionate about – pushing the boundaries of materials science and technical innovation,” said Mr. Hankey. “I am excited to work closely with Mr. Morel as a Technical Advisor and to continue contributing to the scientific excellence and culture that makes ACI unique.”
Mr. Morel brings more than 30 years of distinguished leadership experience in the technology sector, including leading both domestic and international start-ups. His background spans technical leadership, business strategy, and organizational growth. He has worked as a technical leader of several Silicon Valley tech giants, including LAM Research and Applied Materials.
